Fire

So here I was, frustrated as I pored over annoying Add Maths, when suddenly my sis cried out from the room saying she could smell something remarkably like smoke.

So I turned around (our room's door is behind me) and lo behold! I see a wave of reddish orange flickering in our kitchen. So I exclaimed and everyone rushed to said kitchen where there was indeed a fire blazing dangerously CLOSE to the wire.

Scratch that - it already started consuming the wire. Note to self: call the wireman or electrician tomorrow.

Dad took fire extinguisher...the wrong one. He used water. Against a gas-fueled fire. Uh-ha. Thank god there's more than one type of extinguisher at home.

So now everyone's feeling week in the knees as we stare at the blackened wall adjoining my room...we were that close to being burnt to death. Whao.

It's scary, really, how sudden mishaps can endanger our lives so much.

birthday + exams

Okayz, I slipped in to add one lil post. (Lame self-excuse: English essay exam is tomorrow = this blog post is WRITING PRACTICE. Lol.)

Nothing particularly spectacular with my birthday, as usual...just stayed home and attended tuition and such, after which I had a ten-minute mini party =P They almost shoved my face into my cake! Sheesh, people, don't waste that creamy, spongy goodness! Hahaha.

Okay, so that excuse was thought up purely to avoid getting cream-caked.

Sad thing is, exams have started T__T But in the throes of it I still can't bring myself to staaaady. Still the lazy-ass I always am. Though Sejarah might as well go up in flames if the abysmal answers I scratched down was any indication.

On the plus side, tomorrow only Moral + English (essay). Hooray for essay!

EduSmith Seminar

Wow, I seem to be updating this blog quite often nowadays. Three days in a row! *marvels at the miracle* No worries, it'll probably stop soon, knowing me and my inconsistency....

Anyway, yeah, the EduSmith Seminar and Essay Writing Competition 2008 commenced today. I needed just one hour - only ONE! - to become a human icicle, it was that cold. Brr. As my friend cleverly said, 'I don't get why they need the rooms to be like Iceland.'

Oh, I agree all right; quite quaint.

Turns out that there's a word limit for the essay. I didn't realise I could actually write 600 words in less than an hour with pen and paper! *contemplates ability to work faster on computer, if possible*

Now I'm beginning to doubt myself. Haihz.

Oh, and Mr. Photographer, whoever you are, thank you very much for calling me short. Not. Albeit it was still hilarious considering the jovial way you said it.

Essay Writing Competition

It is late now (2300), but I'll just sneak in to add a post.

Tomorrow's the writing seminar cum on-the-spot essay writing competition, and I must admit, I'm scared. Nervous, even. I've not done this before - previously they were all competition invitations sent to the school, which in turn reach me.

I wonder...since it's pen and paper rather than keyboard and computer, will my essay be as polished as when I use the latter media? After all, every word I inscribe onto the paper cannot be omitted without marring it. That means minimal correction, thinking before writing and god knows what else.

Argh.

I don't think I can win - I have not one shred of hope of that - but it would be so nice if I could at least clinch something there, if only recognition from the editors.

Ah, but I am blabbering now, and probably incohorently too. Still legible, I'm sure, because the trusty computer barely as any fonts that cannot be deciphered.

Okay, enough of a warm-up (or a cool-down, depending on your point of view) for now. Wish me luck tomorrow!

Long time no see!

Whao, I've neglected this blog for a reaaaally long time *__* Almost forgot it's here at all. Ah well.

Main thing is, I'm back tospamwhoeverreadsthiswithallsortsofrubbishandmumbojumbojustlikethis. Lol. I wonder if it's legible.

Lately I seemed to have simmered down a bit...from being totally irascible to being, well, perhaps moderately tolerable? Eheh. Big difference that makes (NOT).
